We celebrated Hermana Pitcher's birthday on Friday. She wants to tell everyone thanks for the birthday wishes. After our Temple shift, we went to eat and then came home so Elder Pitcher could bake a birthday cake. It was delicious! We even had candles and balloons. We watched a movie to top off the celebration. On Monday we purchased new walking shoes at a Marathon Runners store. The new shoes are worth every penny!
We watched all of the conference sessions either in our apartment or at the CCM. It was wonderful from start to finish.
This is the best photo we've taken of the volcano so far. Usually there are clouds around it, but Saturday was a beautiful, clear day.
We had Pres. and Hermana Nicolayson (CCM President) and the Brinton's, another Temple Mission couple over for dinner on Wednesday. The Brinton's are a wonderful couple from Canada and will complete their mission at the end of this month. The Nicolayson's complete their mission in January. We will miss them both a lot. They have been a big help to us and have made us feel so welcome here. It was nice to have a kitchen large enough to make the dinner in.
We thought the rainy season was maybe over because it hadn't rained for three days in a row. It was just teasing. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday there were large storms.
Many blessings were showered upon us this past week. We can feel the love of our Heavenly Father for us. Have a great week.
