February 9, 2014

We were so busy last week that we could not get to the blog posting. Not only the busyness , but the lack of anything really newsworthy.
Sister Pitcher did a shift in the Temple which was a welcome opportunity for her. Then a call for help to see if she could come and help due to the scarcity of workers for the afternoon shift. Then a Sister asked if Sister Pitcher could substitute for her one shift. That also was a great blessing. Any exposure to the spirit of the Temple is good. One cannot get to much of that.
Elder Pitcher has had one long meeting this week. It started Monday morning and ended today at 11:00am. 7 days in a row in the Area Office is almost more blessings than a person can handle. There was a Presidency meeting that lasted for 2 days. A Mission Presidents Seminar for 2 hours. Those that are local come to the office.
Those out of the Area do a video conference call. All 17 participate in one way or another. There was a video call with SLC. Then the Area Coordinating Council started Friday evening and lasted until Sunday 11:00am. Yes, that is a lot of sitting.
We are still in the same apartment. They have not told us to move yet. Temple policy states that if you live in Temple housing, you have to work in the Temple. Sister Pitcher is doing her best to keep us here if possible. Time will tell what will happen. If we are asked to move we will.

We are still having great memories of the kids here in Guatemala. This is all of us in Quirigua. Left to right: Miles, Kris, Sister Pitcher, Jace, Kara, Fran, and Elder Pitcher on the back row. What a wonderful family. We are so blessed.

  1. What a wonderful treat it must have been to have your kids there. Kris shared her testimony on Sunday and told us a little bit about her visit. Everyone asks her how you are doing.
We keep you in our prayers and hope that you are blessed with the energy to keep up with all of your responsibilities. We love you!
