On Saturday we had a delightful walk. The temperature was 68 F, sunny and just about perfect. We were out for an hour 1.5 hours. We went and did our weekly shopping at a market that compares to a smaller version of Lee's. It is close to where we live. In the afternoon we decided to do a little exploring in the car. We drove to the South and West. If we had continued in that direction we would have ended up at the Pacific Ocean. It was mostly rural but we did find some substantial cities that we had only heard of. The best part of the adventure that we managed to do it without getting lost!
We had a few extra meetings to attend at the CCM(MTC) this week. We have a larger number of Nortes this time. The projection is for more Nortes to come. One of the Elders had graduated from High School and 2 days later, he is on his mission. The rise in numbers coincides with schools being finished.
The month of July is considered to be a down time for General Authorities. One of the Area Presidency has to remain in the Area at all times. The only exception to this is when they all go to Salt Lake for General Conference. We still have work to do in the Area office but it is lighter in quantity. The newly assigned Presidency member ( Elder Alonso) will arrive the end of July. Elder Amado will officially finish at the end of July. He will be tremendously missed.
We are well and happy. We thank you for your faith and prayers on our behalf.
