On Friday we decided to go the Temple and work a shift. Normally workers are scarce of Fridays. We were busy all evening. The days leading up to the Temple closure become quite busy. As we passed the Temple on Saturday, we noted several buses in the Temple parking. 8 Branches from Coban had traveled thru the early morning hours to arrive at 4:30am, to hit the first session of the day which is at 5:00am. Oh yes, they live about 6 hours away. They stayed throughout the day doing Temple work and then drove back late Saturday. Do we have that kind of deterimination to attend the Temple?
We have a new set of missionaries that are Area Medical Advisors for the area. They are also our new neighbors. Elder Pitcher was able to arrange a time this past week for them to meet with Elder Amado. When we returned home later in the day there was a note stuck in our door. It was the neighbors thanking Elder Pitcher for arranging the meeting. They said the meeting was so uplifting and special, now they could go home. That is how we all feel after we have had a meeting with Elder Amado, uplifted!
We managed to get lost again yesterday on what should have been a short, return trip from WalMart. We made a wrong turn and as soon as we turned, we knew we were lost. It took us about 45 minutes to find our way back to something that looked familiar. Evidently, we are destined to be lost about once every week.
We had another beautiful walk Saturday morning. We were gone for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. During the week on one of our walks, we were out in a downpour. We did have our umbrellas with us, however, the only thing that wasn't wet were our heads. The water was splashing up from the road on to us. One time as a car went by, it really sent a wave of water up on Hermana Pitcher. Fortunately, we are wash and wear!
We love all of you and appreciate your prayers in our behalf.
